2026 Auckland Schools Downhill Championships

AKDH are proud to host the Auckland Schools Downhill Championships

The race line requires grade 5 trail riding experience, but isn't too nuts. There are gap jumps (with B line rollable options), drops & chutes going down then shuttles taking you back up.

Basic Protective Equipment

Riders are required to wear full face helmet, elbow & knee pads plus all ages U17 must wear either a neck brace and/or spinal protection (see event manual for updated protective equipment requirements). See Event Manual below for full requirements.

Eligibility

• Eligible riders must be enrolled at an Intermediate or Secondary School in the Auckland region

• Competitors must at a minimum be age 11 (Year 7) and above but no older than 19 (Year 13) as at 31st December

Entries

• Close midnight Tuesday 14 April

• Race Fee $75 (all categories)

Race entries for Secondary School Students are handled by your school – please enquire with your sports coordinator or teacher in charge of Mountain Biking.

Race entries for Intermediate School Students can be completed on this page.

Practice

Official practice will be held on Sunday 12 April. Entrants must register for practice via the Shuttle Day event link found here,

Our last official shuttle day of the season. For all students registered into the Auckland Schools Downhill, this is the perfect opportunity to dial your lines a week out before the race.

Note: Practice requires a current membership to AKDH ($50) and $30 for a shuttle day pass.
