Working bee on the 11th, shuttles on the 12th of May, $20 for the shuttles. Shuttles from 9a.m. til your boots are full. Kraack Rd, Dome Valley.
Woodhill Annual Race
AKDH is running the annual Race at Woodhill on the 9th of June 2013.
Super D at Riverhead
AKDH and WCRC are holding a Super D at Riverhead forest on the 23rd of March, 2013. Shuttles from 9, timed runs from 1pm. Entry forms will be out soon. Check it out on under Races Super D at Riverhead Forest
On the day entries can be done, registration and entries will be done at the gate.

Important Message From Bike NZ Regarding Oceanias
"There have been inquiries from Club as to whether or not there will be an official NZ team for the Oceanias this year and some riders may be putting off booking airfares waiting for a team announcement. MTBNZ will not be organising and riders are recommended to book airfares now rather than wait for any team announcement. Auckland Round of Nationals at Hunua
Don't forget that the Auckland round of nationals is at Hunua on the 8th and 9th of Feb. If anyone is requiring Accomm nearer to Hunua for the final round of the NZ MTB Cup, Daniel from Methven MTB Club has booked beds at the YHA at Hunua & is keen to find more riders & families to join them. Working Bee and Shuttles Dome Valley Dec 1 & 2
Work – Sat 1 Dec – Meet at Dome Valley 9-00 am onwards. Bring brush cutters/chain saws/spades/rakes etc. We will be cleaning up the existing track and progressing the build on a new one. If enough time we will try a few shuttle runs late arvo.
If you do a full days work on Saturday you can have a complimentary shuttle on Sunday.
Shuttles – Sun 2 Dec - Usual story from 9-00am onwards. To encourage Juniors we are doing a special for U15 – only $15 shuttle and $15- to join club on the day. Over 15 $25- shuttle and $30- membership.
BBQ is likely to be there for Sunday too, keep an eye on facebook as sunday's bbq is subject to change.....

Maraetai Shuttles - November 4
Rewa Rd, Maraetai. Hopefully the weather will have been kinder to us by then and it will be a fun day in the sun (if not, get out and have some fun in the mud anyway).
Usual deal, $25, members only. Membership form can be downloaded from the website (have a look under resources on the menu on the left) and sent in before the shuttles or join up on the day.
Bring cash for shuttles(and membership), there's no atm or eftpos facilities in the forest.

To all budding juniors out there,
Lukas (Toby's dad) is sorting out a juniors group to have regular shuttles, training, etc. It's for 8-14 year old mtbers. The first lot of shuttles is currently planned for the 14th of October at Maraetai, email lukas@svodoba.co.nz to register your interest. If you're planning on turning up make sure you get your details in.

In addition to the Ultimo Secondary Schools Mountain Bike Relay a Downhill event is being organized for the same day. The event is open to students at all secondary schools throughout New Zealand.
Registration by 14 Sept to assist electronic timing registration, late registration on day 0830-1100.
Cost $35.00 per rider.
Practice: 9am - 1.00pm
Riders have open access to transport uplifts and unlimited timed practice runs. Great Value!!

Descend Rotorua are holding the Winter Champs on the 21st and 22nd of July.

Since there is a race on in July AKDH won't be running shuttles, so this is your chance to get your dh fix in for the month.

Entry is $35, if you enter the DH you get to race in the ABD 16" National Champs for no extra cost. Or if you just want to race in the ABD 16" National Champs then it'll be $35. Mail entry is open until the 6th of June 2012. An entry form can be downloaded here.
So come along, race your mates and support the young Auckland downhillers that are going overseas to represent NZ in the Downhill World Champs in Austria in August 2012.
